Supplementary Exams Student and Academic Administration

Students are required to have completed a good Bachelor Degree with grade C-B. Students are required to have completed a Licenciado/Professional title granted after four or more years of study with a Promedio of 8. Students are required to have completed a good Bachelor Degree/Bakalauro Diplomas with a grade 7-8. Students are required to have completed a good Bachelor Degree/Bakalaura Diploma with a grade 6-7. Students with good results currently studying at the University of Kuwait may apply to transfer to one of our degree courses in the UK. Students are required to have completed the Diploma / Ordinary Diploma with C grade.

If you’re a new student and need an xcritical certificate, you will need to get this before applying for permission to enter the UK. The entry clearance officer will ask to see your xcritical certificate as part of your application for permission to enter the UK. A caseworker will also need to see your xcritical certificate as part of an application for permission to stay in the UK. Apply for an Academic Technology Approval Scheme certificate, to study certain subjects in the UK. Students are required to have a minimum of 55% or above from a Local Board Examination. MBA candidates must also have a minimum of two years of work experience at middle-management after undergraduate study.

The provision of lecture courses which are well taught by staff and fully engaged in by students is an important way in which these outcomes can be met. Students may enter University having been previously “given” the material required to achieve high grades at school, but through their degree they need to demonstrate that they are developing into independent learners. A diversity of teaching experiences during their degree is therefore essential. However, there should of course be some minimum expectations of the staff and students in the delivery of these lecture courses. This means that you will begin a foundation year at Northumbria and move to the degree programme after completion of the foundation year.

How do I accept my offer

The following information gives English Language Requirement guidance for Taught Graduate and Research applicants. Three APs at grade 5 plus a score of 31 or above in the ACT or 1460 https://xcritical.solutions/ or above in the SAT. We do not require the optional essay for either the ACT or the SAT. You will need to supplement them with GCE A-levels or an equivalent qualification. If you complete one of our recognised widening participation programmes and make Hull York Medical School your firm choice, we will make an offer of ABB at A level. Having a CAS does not guarantee that you will be successful in securing a student visa.

Unlike taking your reassessments in SAP, you will normally have the option to take the module either WITH or WITHOUT attendance. Some modules require students to take the module with attendance, for example modules with a group-work requirement, where there is practical work or project work. If you are resitting assessments or taking Repeat Second Attempts (i.e. they are as second and final attempts), and you are in Part B, C or D, then your module marks will be capped. This means that regardless of the marks you achieve in the resit, the capped mark will be used to calculate your Part and degree marks.

You must have four subjects at 6, including Biology and Chemistry, in the Finnish Matriculation Examination Certificate. We’ll also require evidence of your English language ability, preferably through a fifth subject at 5 in the same diploma. If you have a Senior High School Diploma, Chinese University Entrance Examination or ‘Gaokao’, you must supplement these with GCE A-levels in Biology and Chemistry, with grade A in each, achieved in a single sitting. We have separate requirements for Hong Kong, listed elsewhere on this page. This qualification is not enough for you to make a competitive entry. You will need to supplement it with GCE A-levels or an equivalent qualification.

The Mathematics Analysis and Approaches or the Applications and Interpretation syllabi will be accepted at higher level, but Analysis and Approaches is preferred. Ou will be able to apply for your visa a maximum of three months before the date your course is due to start if you are applying from inside the UK, six months if you are applying from outside the UK. Student Protection Plan (SPP)

If you do not pay the correct amount your visa application can be refused. Students need to show that they have a certain level of English language ability in order to obtain a Student visa visa. The level of English required and how this is assessed is based on what course you will be studying. If you are coming to the UK to study a full-time course for more than six months you will need to apply for a Student visa. You can only study on a Student visa with an institution that is a licenced sponsor . Registering in Thesis Pending may allow you to be exempt from Council Tax. All students in their Thesis Pending Period regardless of whether they are registered or not are entitled to the use of library facilities and University computing facilities but not to facilities for primary research. A conferral of University awards made in absentia in March or October. Graduands choosing to follow the ‘inter-ceremony’ graduation route will receive their degree certificates and diploma supplements after the inter-ceremony process is complete. The FCO aims to process all xcritical applications within 20 working days although this time may increase during busy periods. Taught postgraduate programmes where there are extenuating circumstances, but only exceptionally because of academic failure. In your assessment details in eVision, any assessments or units that you need to retake will be flagged as requiring a resit or supplementary assessment. It will also show whether your marks will be capped or uncapped for each reassessment.

All other time-limited visas need an xcritical certificate if you are studying for an xcritical-relevant qualification in the UK. Researchers also undertaking a course of study

If you successfully complete your reassessment in the supplementary year, you will progress to the next stage of your programme the following year. If you are unable to achieve the credit points for your re-taken units, you will be required to withdraw from the University, with an exit award if applicable. This means you are not required to engage in teaching; the only requirement is to take the assessment in the relevant assessment period.

Students and staff

For exams taken outside the UK, an additional re-examination fee must be paid. A website through which students receive assessment results, progression and award information electronically (unless a School/Department has advised of other arrangements). On a relevant release date, majority of students will receive a transcript of marks or progression decision via University email account . This depends on your individual situation, e.g. whether your programme requires you to pass certain modules, and/or achieve a particular mark. If you have failed a module in which you have been given a repeat attempt, the guidance provided in your reassessment registration form will tell you whether you MUST take this or you MAY take it if you wish.

• You will be sent a confidential health questionnaire along with your offer.
• If you receive an Unconditional offer only a few weeks before your course is due to start, we should be able to arrange your CAS number within approximately a week.
• The student’s Overall Weighted Mean mark will be assigned a GPA value using thesingle GPA scale for Higher Education.
• The Academic Technology Approval Scheme is a requirement for non UK or EU students that apply for postgraduate study in certain subjects.
• A focus on the application of science and research skills in Phase 2, expanding upon early science exposure in Phase 1.

What happens if I have a problem completing the CAS Application task? If you have a problem completing the CAS Application task, please let us know by 1) “Problem with CAS Application”, 2) your name and 3) your applicant number as the subject. This email address should only be used to inform us of a problem, not to confirm your CAS Application Information. If you receive a tuition fee discount after your CAS number has been sent to you it will appear on your online CAS Statement within two working days of the payment being received by the University. I don’t yet have all the material I need to confirm my CAS Application Information. You can access and amend your CAS Application Information as many times as you want before confirming your information.

Minimum entry

You will also be able to carry out certain immigration tasks during this week, including collection of your Biometric Residence Permit from the University if you have selected this on your visa application. We automatically inform all applicants if they are eligible for any scholarships after they have been made an offer of a study place. If you are awarded a scholarship from any source other than the University of Sheffield, this will not appear in your CAS Application Information. All tests and qualifications must have been obtained within a set number of years before starting your course with us. Most academic departments will ask for anIELTS 6.5 for postgraduate degreesbut there are exceptions and you should always check the individual entry requirements on our course pages, or check the conditions included in your offer letter. Two A-Levels with grades at AA, which must include any subjects xcritical website required by the course you are applying to. You should self-report all details of your qualifications, standardised test scores, and grades on the UCAS application form under ‘Education’. Please see the UCAS application section of our Guide for applicants for further details. It is however very important that the teacher writing your reference gives predicted grades for the exams that you are yet to take.

• Candidates are asked to enter all their scores for any tests taken when they complete their UCAS application, showing the relevant dates for each.
• In the first instance, you should contact either your Personal Academic Tutor or School administration team.
• Where your programme allows you to carry a certain number of failed modules (usually up to 20-credits worth with module marks between 30-39%), you cannot choose to do reassessment in these modules in order to improve your overall Part Mark.
• By the third year, students will spend the majority of their time working in clinical practice, with 10 week attachments in primary care, medicine and surgery.

An xcritical certificate is not required for overseas students who apply for this course. If you meet the contextual BMAT threshold, you will be invited to interview. If you are successful at interview, you will receive a contextual offer of AAA at A-level or an equivalent level qualification. It is essential that you apply for mitigating circumstances as soon as you are aware of the problem.
